How can I best manage my child&#x2019;s asthma? Where can my child learn more about their own asthma? What is good asthma control? Family Asthma Information Sessions are available for parents, care givers and children with asthma at the IWK Health Centre respiratory clinic. Sessions include information on what is asthma, signs and symptoms, triggers of asthma, medications, how to use various devices,  what is good asthma control and asthma management plans. Initial sessions are usually one to one and a half hours long and follow up visits can be arranged if needed. These sessions are provided by a  certified asthma nurse educator. Sessions are available weekdays between the hours of 9:00 and 3:00.
